Technical Arts

The Technical Arts Department consists of skilled volunteers who serve as camera operators, sound engineers, photographers, projection system operators and video editors during our services and special events.
Volunteers serve on rotating teams and contribute to maintaining excellence in all technical aspects of production at OBCC. We are always searching for actors/actresses and voice over talent for video productions. We strive to develop skills as well as giving volunteers a place to grow.

Sound

The sound department is responsible for all major audio functions in the church, including services in the sanctuary, the production of DVD’s, CD’s, and podcasts of sermons. In everything we do, our goal is to create an environment where the worship and the message are free from distraction.

The sound department also provides equipment and staffing for all ministry functions. Our purpose is to set up, run, and maintain all of the sound equipment, as well as support for special events and outreaches.

Projector Operator

The Projector Operator is responsible to visually communicate the message as well as lead the musicians and congregation during worship services. To ensure displayed media enhances services the Projector Operator reviews lyrics, sermon notes and announcements for spelling, legibility, and proper phrasing. During rehearsal they run through songs band making sure they have a firm grasp on the order of each service.

Video Production

This ministry handles many aspects of video production mostly dealing with pre-production and video shooting of events, outreaches, promotional videos, commercials, teaching and illustrations. The videos are used to visually tell a story, enhance the ministry communication, explain a ministry, or promote an event.

Photography

The Photography Ministry consists of experienced digital photographers, who own professional digital cameras. The volunteer’s shoot different church sponsored events and outreaches. The photos are used for different ministry needs: newsletters, brochures, website, and promotional materials.

We are continually seeking volunteers and will provide training to the right personnel. If you have a desire to learn and a heart to serve in this dynamic ministry, please contact the Technical Arts Pastor.
